Buy a Cheaper Stairway to Heaven with Epiphone’s G 1275 Double Neck Electric Guitar
The Gibson EDS 1275 Double Neck electric guitar is a faithful to Jimmy Page’s 1971 model, and of
course you pay for it. Luckily Epiphone has its own double neck guitar that replicates the Gibson EDS 1275 Double Neck. The Epiphone G 1275 Double Neck Electric Guitar is nearly identical to the EDS 1275 in terms of looks and construction, but there are sacrifices that reflect its lower cost of around $1100. First, the G 1275’s body is alder with mahogany necks features an alder body and mahogany necks, whereas the G 1275 has a mahogany body and maple necks. Also, the Epiphone G 1275 does not have a three-way neck selector switch as does the EDS 1275, which also both necks to be active simultaneously. The G 1275’s Alnico Classic and Alnico Classic Plus humbuckers replaced the Page pickups on the Gibson double neck guitar. Both the Epiphone G 1275 and the Gibson E 1275 have rosewood necks and chrome hardware, but the EDS 1275 has pearloid split parallogram inlays and vintage tulip tuners.
The Gibson EDS 1275 Double Neck guitar may actually get you to Heaven, the Epiphone G 1275 Double Neck guitar comes pretty close.
